About me
Michael Walker, PMHNP, is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology (University of Tennessee, 2009), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (East TN State University, 2018), and a Master of Science in Nursing (Lincoln Memorial University, 2021). Michael provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management services for ages 18 and above to patients from all backgrounds and cultures. He has experience working with a wide array of diagnoses with special interests in bipolar spectrum disorders, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, trauma, developmental, and personality disorders. Michael enjoys working with a team approach with therapists and primary care providers to best support patients’ needs and goals. During sessions, he serves as a consultant to his patients in a shared decision making model to help someone to reach their mental health goals with evidence-based treatments. Outside of psychiatry, Michael’s interests include science fiction books, WW2 books, movies, walking/hiking, spending time with his wife, friends, and cat.
