I am a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist with children and adolescents. I have over 30 years of experience in caring for children and families. Both certifications have provided me with a wide range of experience and knowledge so I can better serve children and their families. I have been providing both primary care and mental health care for children and adolescents from ages 3-21 for over 30 years. I also have a Forensic Practice where I provide medical evaluation and care for victims of Child Maltreatment. I have significant experience in working with the school system, multiple specialists and children with developmental delays. I provide parent training, brief therapy and medication management in my mental health practice. I will work with children and families to develop the best plan of care for each child. I am a Registered Nurse with a Bachelors Degree in Public Health. I am a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a Masters Degree in Nursing. My post masters is in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. I am a Certified Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. My experience with children is broad. I have significant experience in a variety of community settings. Working in a School Based Health Clinic provided me with experience navigating and working with the school system and a multiple personnel including psychologists, teachers, and social workers. This allows me to help you work with the school if your child needs additional services. I have a background in working with children with behavioral problems due to my experience in group homes and residential treatment. My experience has provided me a chance to work with children who have developmental delays such as Autism.
