Dr. Smith, a clinical psychologist, completed her undergraduate degree at the College of William
and Mary, her Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and her clinical internship at
Emory University. She has been a licensed psychologist for over 20 years and has worked in
various settings including community mental health, private practice, and primary care. In
addition, she holds an M.A. from United Theological Seminary, and has a particular interest in
the intersection between spirituality and overall health and wellbeing. Dr. Smith enjoys
providing services to people with a variety of presenting issues and from diverse backgrounds,
including all faith traditions. She believes in a collaborative and integrated approach to health.
Her practice at BMI is limited to treating adults and families.
